![]() 29/11/08 - An amazing night was just had at
The Bull Inn St.George where by a double booking occurred. Now usually one band would get a short and sweet phone call to
be let down last minute but no, this time both turned up and both played. The second band were The Nervous Brothers who had
nothing to be nervous about with their high quality Rock n’ Roll set. The bands played 2 x 40 minute sets each and joined
each other on stage for a rendition of Johnny B Goode at the end of the night. The venue was heaving, the beers were flowing
and it was one of the best gig nights anyone had seen in a good while. Special thanks to The Bull management for pulling off
a totally awesome evening. (Iron Man) 24/02/08 - Let’s get it started. The bands first outing
at the Kings Arms, Brislington on Valentines Day was a resounding success considering they only had two rehearsals to put
it all together. Lovers from all over the globe gathered round to witness this momentous occasion and all went home feeling
thoroughly rogered and satisfied. The
following night they filled in a last minute slot at The Bunch of Grapes, Bristol and yet again laid back the audience and
gave them the seeing to that they so richly deserved with the only protection being their mighty rock and it didn’t
stop there. The
following Sunday saw them at The Old Tavern, Stapleton where the word of their awesome show had reached the young female audience
that they so richly deserved. There were plenty of stage invasions and mass huddles which if they’re not careful could
see the over population of As
the band finished this weekend of over indulgence and rocking fornication they packed away the instruments of pleasure and
went to away to recharge their batteries ready for the next performance of musical lap dancing. (Iron Man) 22/02/08 - This was another one
of those ‘short notice’ stand in gigs but my god word travels fast. Fans
had travelled far and wide to the Queen Vic in Stroud to catch a glimpse of this all-new rock sensation and they weren’t
disappointed. From the off the venue was jumping and the boys were here
to feed the fire with a blinding display of sexual magnificence (Oh yes, and a few good tunes). CH found a whole new meaning to “I’ll just pop
an epic solo in here” with a performance that had the die hard rock fans drooling. SL
proved yet again why he is “The Legend” with more tightness and flare than a 1970’s school photo. CB was like an infant possessed, laying down a wall of solid Grrrrr behind and still found time to spin
his sticks and eat a Farley’s Rusk. As for Von the frontman, well what
can you say apart from……NICE HAT! The night was filled with an adrenaline fuelled, jaw dropping
rush of tunes that kept the dance floor bouncing….mmmmm bouncing. As the gig came to an end and the relentless cries for more
died down, almost all the knickers were returned and The Johnson’s slipped off into the night via the kebab shop. BIG THANKS to all those that made the trip and see you at the next
one. (Von) |
